Any new nurses here?

Question

I just graduated from LPN school and I’m suddenly terrified to get into the work place. I haven’t even taken the NCLEX yet. Any words of advice?

Answer

You are going to be nervous until you find a routine in your workplace. Because working in the environment that you worked so hard to get too is becoming a reality! I was an LPN before becoming an RN and I can tell you from both ends, I was a total nerve wreck. It felt like I thrown into the wolves because I got the hardest assignment and I cried when I started working by myself. However, it got better and I can tell you that it made me the nurse that I am today. When you are in the floor remind yourself why you went to school and why you decided to become a nurse!

Patient safety is priority . Laziness kills, ego kills. Always keep learning, reading, and understanding . You’re dealing with people in their most vulnerable , so it is your moral duty to give the utmost professional, efficient, too quality, and compassionate care.
