Red and black vision splotches when high??

Let me start off by saying I’m not a regular smoker. I smoke maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks if that. I just smoke when I can/want to and if my boyfriend has some. Yesterday he rolled up a small joint and we smoked it. Went back inside his house to chill and left about 15 minutes later. He rolled up a bigger joint and we smoked maybe half of that on the way to my house. When we got on the backroads to my house my vision started getting blurry, and then red and black little splotches started to take over my vision from the corners only my eyes. A few seconds or a minute later my vision was completely red and black splotches. I could still see objects like houses and tress, but very faintly. My boyfriend started freaking out which in result made me start crying. So I’m calmer as we approach my house, still seeing red and black splotches I walk in the house and with the light change I can barely see anything. I’m bumping into the counter and almost trip on the table in front of the couch. I lay down and relax and within 5 minutes or so my vision returns to normal and I’m fine the rest of the night. Sorry this was so long but I would really love to hear if anyone had similar experiences or what this could be. Thanks.
