Alright, here is the deal. Cooked rolls are fine. That means tempura rolls, California rolls. There is literally no reason you can’t have those. You’ll want to watch how much high-mercury fish you consume, such as tuna (you should limit yourself to 2-3 servings of tuna per week).
The sticky issue is with anything that uses raw fish.
The main issue with raw fish is a concern over a potential parasite called anisakiasis, a type of round worm. It’s not inherently more dangerous for pregnant women than any other person (and you of course don’t have any higher risk of getting it just because you are pregnant). Like, it’s not gonna kill you, but you’ll spend a lot of time over the toilet and it’s overall not pleasant. Getting that sick while pregnant would feel particularly miserable and can potentially make you dehydrated, which IS dangerous. 
The thing is, in most places in the US fish used for sushi is flash frozen, which would kill any anisakiasis that is present. It’s unlikely, but of course not unheard of, for sushi sourced from a reputable restaurant to make people contract this parasite. Of course there are other illnesses that you can get from any raw food, but again, with safe food practices the likelihood is diminished. 
All this to say, it comes down to what level of risk you’re okay with. I eat sushi a LOT, and have for years. I go to the same few places and have never gotten sick (or known anyone who has gotten sick). I’m super comfortable eating sushi, including raw sushi, while pregnant. I get it from reputable places. I don’t eat gas station sushi. I’ve had it my whole pregnancy and been fine. 
Others may not feel comfortable with that risk, and that’s cool, too.
