Hi, Ladies!

I’m new on here & new to the TTC game. I had a few questions, but I’ll give a bit of background info on myself.

I’m 26, 5’5 and weigh 155-160 lbs. I am pretty active (gym 4-5x/week & walk the dog nearly every day) & in relatively good health.

When I was 22, my husband & I found out we were pregnant. However, I experienced some bleeding & a UTI around 6 weeks, and when we went back at 10 weeks, the doctor couldn’t find a heartbeat. My body didn’t miscarry naturally & so I tried the vaginal pills first, then eventually had to have a D&C;, as my body wasn’t passing everything the way it should have.

Miscarrying completely broke mine and my husband’s hearts, but I was overweight, drank too much, & didn’t exercise nearly enough. Now, four years later, I am down about 45 lbs from my heaviest weight & in the best shape of my life. My husband & I are finally ready to try again, but of course I am incredibly nervous!

I went to the doctor last Friday & she took blood work to test my thyroid levels & check for anemia. She prescribed me a prenatal, which I started last Saturday morning. I stopped my bc about a week ago, & randomly started my period a week earlier than normal.

My question is is it normal for this to happen when you stop bc? And for anyone who has stopped bc and conceived after, how long did it take you to conceive after you stopped it?

Any other advice on successfully conceiving? I’ve stopped drinking & am focusing on keeping up with my regular exercise routine, cutting down on caffeine (I drink entirely too much coffee, haha), drinking tons of water, getting a full 8 hours of sleep or more each night, & trying not to let anything (including TTC) stress me out too much.

Any advice any of you may have would be super helpful! TIA!! 💗
