When does hcg get higher?

Question

I had my first positive test Saturday. Another that day, one Sunday, and doctor confirmed Monday. I’m just wondering when the line will get darker?? It’s still faint. I’m due for my period tomorrow. 
I had a miscarriage last August, so I’m nervous about this one. I am praying that this baby goes full term! 💕

Tracking line progression, IMO, just adds to the anxiety. The tests have done all that they are meant to do— tell you you’re pregnant! Yay! They aren’t meant to monitor the health of your pregnancy. 
BUT, if you insist on doing it, you should at least use a consistent test type. Choose one brand and stick to it so you are comparing similar images. Only test first thing in the morning. 
Though again, if you’re anxious, I strongly recommend not putting yourself through tracking lines. There are too many reasons that lines might look lighter than others that have nothing to do with the health of a pregnancy (urine dilution, human error, etc). Signed, A Fellow Anxious Person.

On top of what others said, if you are looking for line progression, use the same brand of test and test at the same time of day each time... but the only way to know for sure if your hcg is rising is to get a blood test.

sometimes lines don't get darker.  there have been people who take them, and that's as dark as they get, and they go through with a healthy pregnancy
