So apparently there’s quite a dispute about this.  Thought it would be fun to see everyone’s opinions.  Cheers!

It’s always been x’s and o’s in that order when I’ve heard it. So when people say hugs and kisses I’d assume it’s the same order as the letters meaning x’s are hugs and o’s are kisses. 
Not only that but your mouth kinda makes an o shape when kissing. And you kinda stand there like an x when you’re about to hug.

People always put ‘x’ at the end of messages which stand for kisses. So I don’t know why it would change for xoxo
