Boy trouble help asap!!!!

So my friend asked me to homecoming earlier this year but we decided not to go together because he wanted to go as more than friends. We are still good friends and he asked me to hangout with him next week. I'm super nervous because he stills flirts with me periodically but I don't want anything that friends wouldn't do to happen when we hangout. My mom also has never met him so she wouldn't want him driving me around either and I still don't have my license. We are both 17. I want to hangout with him but I don't know what I would do if he started making moves. What should I do????
