Babies at a young age???

Is having babies young a good or bad idea?? I’m 18 and everyone keeps telling me that having babies young is the worst thing ever and the end of the world but I feel like me and my partner are missing something. We just bought a house and are lonely. We don’t want pets because my parents already have dogs that are like our own but it just feels empty?? I’m in full time work and have been since the age of 13. My mother also had me at 18 and she has since had 3 more kids so I’ve always been apart of a big family. Just curious about other people’s opinions?

age isn't really the biggest factor- more like if you are financially ready, in a healthy secure relationship and are mature enough.

The biggest thing I see is that girls that have kids when theyre young at first are happy but quickly start feeling like they were left out because theyre not able to do things other girls their age are doing.  They have to work harder and take things more seriously. Youll never be completly financially ready for one. But before you have one have some fun. Go wherever you want to go when you want to go. Only worry about that 1 outfit for the day. Because after baby you'll be changing frequently and wont have time to make it look good until you have to change again. sleep in. Sleep in the afternoon. Its not that these things are immpossible when you have a kid. It just becomes a lot harder to be able to accomplish it. Take advantage of being young

Honestly I’ve wanted kids since I met my now husband 7 years ago. I absolutely love children and am dying to start ttc. But we both agreed that we want certain things in life before kids. We bought our dream house. We got engaged and had the best wedding and honeymoon we could’ve asked for. I’m a nurse and he is a manager at a commercial truck dealership, so we both make plenty of money, although it’s not enough in our eyes so we are both going back to school. We want our child to have everything that they need and more and don’t want to sacrifice just because we can’t afford it. I have one year of school and as I’m almost done, we are going to start ttc. I couldn’t have been happier planning to have children like this. (I’m 24 he’s 25)

For me it was a good idea because I am done being pregnant sooner 🙌🏻 and they get big quick so we cantake em to do bunches of stuff sooner. It just seems like for me everything came together perfect. And now I am done! YAY! Love my kids, hate being pregnant.

it's the financial situation that would make it "the worst thing ever"
my husband is 23, I'm 20, we have a 2 year old and a baby on the way, when we got pregnant with my daughter (2 year old), we had savings, a 2 bedroom apartment, a car, and full time jobs. Shit started going downhill and we went into MAJOR debt, had to move in with his grandmother, and I had to quit my job as we didnt have money to afford a babysitter or daycare. We are finally getting back on track, we have nearly $2,000 back into our savings, credit cards are all finally paid off, we moved back to the city we had lived in before we had money issues, I have my job back and my dad watches my daughter while my husband and I work. When we didn't have money, it fucking sucked. I hated being a parent, I blamed myself for not being able to afford things we used to be able to afford, I just hated life. But now that we are back on track, I love being a mom, and I'm so excited to bring my son into this world where we are financially stable

I don't ever regret having my daughter young even though its hard. She was kinda plan but i got pregnant sooner then plan, was 17 but 3 months before my birthday. Age is just a number as long you are stable enough money, mentally and physically. If you feel ready and your SO is on the page then its up to you. 
 I don't ever feel like I miss anything. I can't stand drinks only can drink two types and don't even like the feeling.  i never wanted to try any drugs or go to partys unless it was like pool/birthdays/baby showers then i wanted to go. I wasn't even 'popular' so I've always have a small group of friends. You do lose some "friends" that well be all excited to be there and then vanish after baby is born. So that's only thing that really got to me. I hate people that say I've ruined my life just cuz I won't be able to "enjoy" my 20s. I didn't ruin it, I'm just starting my family sooner than others. It's okay to be on completely different paths in life. Plus I've never really wanted kids after 30. Plan to have my kids in my 20s. Isn't the end of the world at all its only the beginning of it to me. Life isn't the same for everyone and people forget that. Not everyone wants the same things in life either.
