Does supporting gay marriage make me a “bad Christian”? Please explain your view.

If you looked at it from another angle what would your answer be?
The bible says it's wrong to have sex with someone you're not married to. If a friend of yours told you there were planning to have sex with their boyfriend, would you cheer them on? Would you tell her that she's making the right decision and that you're so happy and excited for her? Because that will mean you're supporting her. How do you think God will feel about it?
And you could swap that scenarios with anything else that God has commanded that we shouldn't do, like lying, adultery, idol worship, being vulgar, etc.
God gave us the bible for a reason. Everything in it is for our own benefit, and it tells us how God wants us to live our lives. If we purposely ignore his commands because we think we know better we are displeasing him. And those who don't observe his commandments will not inherit his kingdom.
So long story short, supporting something that God is against does not make us true Christians that are acceptable to God.

My take on this: Love the person. Hate the sin. I'm not going to support their decision to sin, but I will still love them as a person.

How can you be selective with your love and be a loyal follower of Him if you don’t love everyone for who they are, the way he does? God knows what each and every person is meant to be and what role they will play in this world. Why question His beautiful work?

In the eyes of God, every sin is equal. It doesn’t matter whether you kill a man or steal a piece of candy from your younger sibling. When God sees sin, he sees nothing else. No sin is worse than any other in His eyes. Is gay marriage a sin? According to the Bible... Yes, it is, but the list of every sin possible is endless. Jesus died so that we could be forgiven for our sins. He didn’t die so that all sins except gay marriage (and supporting gay marriage) could be forgiven. 
Christianity is about love. We should love people the way that God loves us...unconditionally. Love is the foundation of our faith. It’s what we stand for. If we live to love, then why try to stop it? Marriage is the ultimate confession of love, and anyone who is truly in love -regardless of them sexuality - should have the ability to do so. Who are we to stop them?
Nonetheless, no one will know what is true until the day that they die. At this moment, we don’t know how God is reacting. Maybe He’s glorifying us for loving and allowing love to happen and flourish despite the fact that gay marriage is a sin. Maybe He’s condemning us for allowing gay marriage to become legal. It’s up to you to decide what you believe. It’s difficult. People are going to criticize you no matter what you choose, but that’s a part of being Christian. At the end of the day, all that matters is your relationship with God.

I don’t think so. God supposedly loves everyone equally and he will always forgive. Honestly, I feel as though the anti gay portion might have been taken wrong in translation. But that is my opinion.

We must give everyone the grace God gives us when we sin, we can only pray for people who are “on the wrong path.” If we cause conflict with the way they choose to live, we are only making the situation worse not better. Love everyone as God loves everyone too.

I don’t agree with homosexuality, but all that means to me is that as an individual I choose not to be gay. I will never judge someone for how they live there life or force my beliefs on to someone else because I am an imperfect being myself.
