Pregnant & I HAVE to have a hospital birth. Any tips?

Before I got pregnant I’ve always wanted to have an all natural home birth. When I got pregnant, I had to get on Medicaid and I thought it covered a Midwife. Turns out, it doesn’t. I cannot afford to hire a midwife and I’m CRUSHED. So I will have to have a hospital birth and I’m not happy about it at all. 
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Are you allowed to deny anything when at the hospital?
* Note: the hospital closest to me has a cesarean rate of 38% 🤦🏻‍♀️

You don't have to. You can always freebirth this baby as many of our ancestors did before modern hospitals.

Get a doula! They can advocate for you when you may not be in a position to. You can bend the rules (ie. sneak food) or whatever makes you more comfortable. Start visualizing your perfect hospital birth and you got this! I’ve heard of many natural hospital births 💗

My best advice is to wait and labor at home as long as possible. Next best is a doula. And third best is take a good childbirth ed class focusing on relaxation to support natural birth. Bradley method, hypnobirthing, hypnobabies etc are really helpful and can totally enhance your whole experience. If you were to do even 2 out of three you will most likely have the experience you seek. Also, have a care provider who listens and is open to all you are wanting to do. If your insurance only allows a certain choice then prep and controlling what you can is key.

Some hospitals have midwives who deliver there. My midwife is part of an ob practice and only does hospital births. Maybe they will cover that type of midwife?

Free birth! Don’t trust the hospital, they’ll only try to take away your power.

Spend time and educate yourself on what rights you have in your country. In America they can't force you to do anything. Try to find an OBGYN you trust. Write a detailed birth plan and be very familiar with it.

Be firm. They will try to intervene. Push medication, etc. wait as along as you can at home

My fiancé and I are taking out a personal loan to pay for our midwife, it’s always an option if you have good credit
