Wedding Dilema

So we sent out Save The Dates for our wedding. All of our friends knew when we were getting married before then as well. Sent the save the dates and then not even a month later had to call off the wedding because of finances being tight until my fiance found a new job. 2 months went by and we are just now getting back on our feet and are going to do a small wedding just for immediate family. Do I need to say anything to people who are going to be expecting an invite since we basically cut our list in half to keep it affordable? We are having a beach wedding btw which is the most cost effective and what we wanted the entire time.
