So my son turned 1 on May 14th. He is having trouble with chewing. He doesn't move his jaw at all, just pushes everything on the roof of his mouth then swallows it. He has 7 teeth so I didn't think he would have any problems with eating but he does. Also, he will not attempt to feed himself. He will pick the food up then throw it on the floor. We just recently moved to Florida, previously lived in Connecticut where he was seeing an occupational therapist and a physical therapist twice a week for 1 hour. He is going to continue here in Florida when they evaluate him on the 25th. I guess what I'm asking is how did you get your little one to chew solids and try to have them feed themself?
