Should I tell my old teacher I had a crush on him?

So I am 17 and my junior year I had this super cute science teacher who I think also really liked me, not just because I was his best student. I have switched schools, and I kind of want to tell him just to see his response. He’s pretty young for a teacher, in his mid twenties. I caught him staring at me plenty of times and he definitely treated me as his favorite. I was thinking it’s probably because I had above 100% on all of his test (extra credit) and because I definitely made him look like a good teacher with my scores and how I got praises from other parents about helping their kid. But the random extra credit he would give me, the compliments (all academic) and just other ways he acted made me question if it was just because I was a good student. I don’t feel creeped out since he’s young, but I just wanna know if he also had an interest.
