Depo question

Okay so I’ve been in the depo shot for 2 months now. And I know that theres a possibility over gaining weight. So I’ve been checking it about once a week to see any change. Well instead of gaining weight I’ve lost 7 pounds. Idk if it’s from my birth control. Or if it’s because I’m a cheerleader and I’ve started practicing again. But I’ve never really noticed losing weight by cheer. It usually stays the same. Or I end up gaining a for pounds. I’m not worried at all because I’ve been wanting to lose weight. Could it be the birth Control by chance just wondering
