My first born

My first born was born almost 5 years ago but I never knew about glo and I am currently 37 weeks with my second so I figured I would write her birth story then my second baby’s in a few weeks! I was induced at 39 weeks 2 days. (Personal reasons) they told me to come into the hospital at 10:30pm. September 18th 2013. My husband and I arrived on time and I was admitted to my room, hooked up to an IV, baby monitor, and blood pressure machine then was given a pill to dissolve in between my cheek and teeth (weird spot right) I was told it was to soften my cervix. Well I guess it worked because by the 10th time I got up to pee I sat down on the bed right after and felt a “pop” around 5 am. I hit the nurse button and the nurse Checked me with some sort of swab to confirm it was amniotic fluid. She said it looks like it was and left. A couple hours later my doctor arrived to break my water, when I told her it already did she felt and said there was still a bubble. She broke it the rest of the way and I felt the real gush! Afterwards I was started on pitocin and things started to move pretty quickly. Around 10 am I got the epidural, chatted with some of my family and waited to dilate. Finally at 1 o’clock the nurse checked and I was at 10. I did 1 practice push and the doctor came and sat down on the bed. She intructed me to push and at first I couldn’t quite get the hang of it. Exhausted I tried something different sort of just relaxed and let my instinct take over and then I heard her say “yes just like that!” A few more pushes and my beautiful baby girl was born at 1:16pm weight 6 lbs 11 ounces and 18 3/4 Inches long! I cried when they put her on my chest and so did my husband! We both were in shock and totally in love!
