Control freak 101?

So my boyfriend has confronted something in me that I knew I had an issue with but not nearly as bad as I thought...I’m a control freak. How do you control freak ladies ‘control’ your controlling urges? lol I’m at a loss for words and it’s causing some issues because he’s super laid back as me...well I have to plan out in 15 minute increment apparently 😳

Can you go beyond the 15 min increments of planning without anxiety? Like if you say this happens at this time and then we’ll do this next thing, but something gets thrown off and you can’t do one of the things does it cause you to panic or have anxiety? If it does, I highly recommend counseling to help you with that. If it doesn’t, then start small- go from needing everything planned out to having one day a week where you don’t plan anything for 4-5 hours. See if you can go a whole day without planning things after that etc! If it’s too hard to go 4-5 hours, try less and build up to things. 
Having a desire to plan things out and have things in order isn’t an issue- it’s actually good, but make sure you have the ability to be a tiny bit flexible too- it will help you tremendously!

I was in an abusive relationship for 5 years, and I wasnt even allowed to see my family, or wear makeup hardly. Once I got out I was so used to being controlled that I went wild. Im now settled down and because I had zero control over anything I am now a control freak. Im married, and my husband is amazingly ok with it. We both wear the pants, but im more dominant and he is more submissive and honestly it helps a lot. I have to remember to tell myself that nothing is perfect and things will go out of my control. Perhaps try some counseling and figure out what has made you this way. I have a form of ocd and it also makes it worse. You have to be willing to change first and foremost, and to try to let things be. If u cant, i suggest you find someone whos okay with it or even likes it. There are people like this everywhere.
