40 Weeks Today. Anyone else still around?

40 weeks today

My mother in law, mother and brother are with me at the end of this pregnancy. Husband deployed. He’ll see baby in 6 months. I don’t feel comfy with mil in delivery room or hospital. Only thing I need her to do is watch my toddler at home until I come home with new baby. Hope she can do that w/o problems. I don’t want any stresses so I’ll be honest with them.

My doctor referred me a 40 week induction. Just waiting for them to return my call to setup it up.

First baby was 2 weeks late. This baby could be late too. Doctor never checked me for dilation or effacement.

Doctor mentioned a membrane sweep later in last prenatal appt. I guess a membrane sweep would be bad for GBS positive mom. Wouldn’t baby be infected? That question is for my doctor. Sigh, I’m convinced to enjoy last few days. Breastfeeding hormones later will be an exhausting random crying fest as it happened with my first. Delirious is another.

I’m resting a lot. Lots of time to myself. Not a lot of exercise. Time to think, stretch, meditate and mentally organize as well. What are you guys doing on your 40 weeks?
