When bacteria gets into your urethra it causes a urinary tract infection. This means that you feel the urge to pee frequently (and usually have a hard time doing so) and also accompanied by burning sensation when you pee. They sometimes can go away on their own or otherwise head to a doctor and they’ll prescribe an antibiotic that will clear it up. Peeing after sex, wiping from front to back and not wearing the same underwear for an extended amount of time can help prevent them.
