Flaky nipples?

Hi guys, I know I'm probably just overreacting.

I've had chapped nipples before, but I itched one of them and I had some flaky white stuff fall off. It wasn't liquidy at all. It was like dry skin falling off but more white in color right dead center of my nipple. They are normal a white color on the tip when I'm cold.

I also started a new birth control pill about two weeks ago. I've had several negative pregnancy tests and a full blown period on time and regular, no other weird symptoms.

What do y'all think? If it is just dry skin - what could I do to help it? I've heard coconut oil is good.
