If you don't take it on time everyday it goes from having a 99% efficacy to 92%.  Set an alarm and take it on time!

I’m a pharmacy technician and in Uni at a pharmacy school. On MOST birth control pills you are supposed to take it the same time (up to an hour before or later than scheduled) and you will be okay. If you miss 1 day (not any more) you will be okay, just take two the following day. 
If you suffer from PCOS, other hormone imbalances, or take a higher dosed BC pill take it as prescribed, same time each day. 
Most doctors recommend same time to promote better complaisance rate when It comes to medication. 
Remember the first month on BC DO
NOT have unprotected sex. It takes up to 1 month for it to work.

Mini pill on the dot. Combo pill I took within 12 hr window and never had any scares 🤷. Even my gyno said as long as you take one everyday it's good. But everyone's body is different.

It’s 99.9% effective (unless you’re on the mini pill- that isn’t as effective) if taken correctly, at the same time every day. Taking it at different times lowers its effectiveness a few percent, and skipping a day even more so. It just depends on what coverage you want. If you want to be only ~97% covered then take it whenever you want, as long as you’re taking it daily.

Depends on the birth control. The mini pill needs to be taken at the exact same time. Other general pills can be taken a little less exact. When I was on birth control I would take it within a 3-6 hour window and it was fine.
