I have a dog and 2 cat’s. My husband and I were in a position where I was home almost all of the time and we had plenty of means to care for these 3. Now we are forced to move and I have to get a second job. So I’ll be 2 part time jobs which will make full time and my husband is full time. I will probably be working often. My husband works 8 hours 5 days a week. His place of work and mine are 10 minutes away from our home. If we do keep our dog, I will be building her a big, nice, decked out dog run. She’ll have shade, a pool to cool off in, tons of water, lot’s of toys, and a nice dog house to sleep in. I’m gonna give her the best! I love to spoil her as it is. I would go home everyday during lunch and check on her. We do not have doggy day cares here sadly, and too many drug addicts and thieves to trust to check on her or stay with her. I have no family willing to do that either. My husband would only be gone 8 hours, sometimes I may be gone even less. I may not even get this second job so I may be around much more. I’m still figuring it out. The cat’s will be inside and have an open window attached to a cat hutch so they can be outside, but not able to run away. We will be living next to a highway. Do you think I should just rehome them instead? We never thought we’d have to move, but shit happens. We wouldn’t have gotten them if we didn’t think we could handle them. I will make their lives great in this new place. Even better than they have it now. I don’t plan on getting another dog. Cat’s maybe because they do well by themselves.
