How do you tell people your pregnant later in your pregnancy?

Has anyone waited till around 20 weeks or so to announce their pregnancy? I’m only 12 weeks now but want to break the news way later (boyfriends family drama, etc.). I know I’ll get mixed emotions maybe some might be offended (don’t really mind😆) but just curious as to how you went about it?

I told my family fairly early, because I trust them to support me the right way.  We didn't tell my in-laws or work until around 5 months...I didn't show too much, and I have a history of loss.  I didn't want to deal with their version of support if bad things happened.

Next week we’ll finally be telling my finally at 28 weeks. We don’t live close so we’re flying over for my Mum’s wedding and to break the news. As the date approaches I’m getting more and more nervous but it’ll be interesting to see how they take it.

My last pregnant I told my mom early on, my in laws at 12 weeks, and my dad side of the family at 22 weeks. I waited later for them because I knew they wouldn’t have anything positive to say & they didn’t. 2 years later & pregnant again, 14w2d. I told my best friend when I found out and my bf told my in laws over the weekend. I haven’t told my mom or family yet due to me flying out the first week of August. I’m going to try and surprise them with the belly lol

I'll be 11 weeks when my mom and dad get their care packages (gma & gpa announcements) in the mail. then i'll wait till 15 weeks to post on fb. My husbands deployed but im visiting him and we'll take a bunch of couple pics together and thatll be for our post

Only my so and close family knew until I was 22 weeks and then we announced on social media. We didn't get any negative feedback like I was scared of getting.

I waited until I was about halfway through with my pregnancy to tell mine and my husbands family. When they seemed shocked at how far I was, I just sort of laughed it off and said “Yep! Surprise!” 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s my body so I didn’t feel bad at all. You shouldn’t either! 😉

We told family at 18 weeks, as a Xmas parent, but he was also baby #3. Didn’t post it on social media until i was 35 weeks!

I announced publicly on social media at 20 weeks and it was fine. I had told my family and my boss before that. I guess people at work slowly found out. I don’t think it’s a big issue to wait. Personally I did it because I’d had some complications early on, which I did mention in my fb post.

I told my family really, really early... but announced it on social media when I was 18 weeks and everyone went "I had no clue!".

Your baby, your rules. I think everyone will be surprised and happy either way, it would be a weird thing to get upset about!
