When to start ovulation test?

So I’m ready for baby number two. When should I start using the ovulation test? Is it the first day after my period? Or do I wait a couple days?

When is the best day to have sex? Is it on ovulation day.. or a day before ovulation..I had miscarriage on March .. I want to try again.
