Am I crazy? I don’t like my husband watching “bad” shows.

Hi. Should it bother me that my husband watches shows with several naked women? It always upsets me, it makes me feel like I’m not good enough and it gives me extreme anxiety. I always feel like I have to monitor what he’s watching and that makes me feel crazy! He always tells me how attractive I am, and he’s very affectionate, but I hate that he looks at perfect naked women. HATE it. It’s not like I think he would cheat on me, but for some reason I just feel disrespected even though I cannot control or have no idea what is going on in his brain when he watches that.

I think you need to work on your self confidence. My body image is shit, but I just remember that whenever my partner sees someone more attractive than me on tv, it’s usually just makeup and severe editing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If he isn’t getting a hard on or needing to go to the bathroom during a tv show, I wouldn’t worry about what my grown S/O is watching. My boyfriend and I have watched shameless together which is soft porn and he was completely fine. Relax!

It is not your husband watching the shows that is causing You to feel like you are not good enough or causing anxiety for you. It is the way you think about yourself that causes you to feel that way. The way you feel about yourself was there before these TV shows and before your husband. It is only being triggered by them. So, when you think of it that way, the best thing to do is to work on your own self-esteem. See a therapist! You need help working out your insecurities and building up your self-esteem. Self-esteem does not come from your husband not watching certain shows or movies… Self-esteem comes from SELF. You can change your feelings about this by changing your mindset

Sorry hun I can’t really relate. My husband and I will talk about how hot that celeb is (guy or girl) lol making jokes, never serious like we would ever cheat. I even point out a nice ass (girls) at the gym to my husband saying “goals!” Lol
I get how jokes can go too far and go on for too long and make you feel insecure as I’ve def been there but a TV won’t do it. It’s just TV especially if it’s Game of Thrones where there Is nudity. Fans pretty much look past those moments and focus on the plot.

I know it’s easier said than done, but you need to try to let that stuff go. You are adding sooo much stress to your life by trying to control that stuff. Unless he’s a creep, I doubt he’s watching these shows just to check out the women.

Don’t worry hun your not crazy don’t care what anyone els says they obv have no insecurities and have perfect happy life’s! But I’m right here with you I understand 10000000% I was abused for 6 years and was made to watch stuff I didn’t and don’t ever want to see again that twisted fuck fucked my life up and made sure I wouldn’t be able to watch stuff again. My partner I’m with now has been amazing and respects me and helps me through this but because of what I have seen and been made to watch I cannot allow him to watch stuff like that. I have had therapy and counselling and it’s defo down to my ex but my partner is brilliant fast forwards what he knows I won’t like and supports me fully. Maybe see some one about how you see yourself it does help
