Do you need a D&C if you miscarry at 4weeks 3 days? Please reply if you have any experience 🙏

I got my HCG back last Thursday and it was 7, stopped taking progesterone that day. Barely bleeding since. Haven't filled one pad. Medium to light spotting, no clots. Worried. Anyone ever have to have a D&C; this early on? I was barely pregnant.... 😔😔😔

I don’t know if it’s the same for miscarriage, but when I had my abortion years ago I was 5 weeks along and just took the pill, everything came out on it’s own without needing a D&C;

I took the pill at 10 weeks, it’s up to you they normally give you 3 options. Pill, D&C; or waiting to naturally miscarry which I don’t recommend. I’m sorry did your loss

Not required. It’s early and the baby is just a ball of cells , your body will pass it on its own.

I had a miscarriage early May and was not quiet 5 weeks and I passed everything naturally. It was just like a period, but a little heavier and more clots! Sorry for your loss

I would say you don't need to worry about a d&c!(: I had a miscarriage early at around 4/5 weeks and everything came out on its own. There's not really much of a baby at 4 weeks, maybe a sac? But it's soooooooo small that it's not a huge deal yet! I also had one at 8weeks and passed it naturally! I did not want a d&c!! They worry me!😨 I don't think you need to worry since there's not much there at 4 weeks(:

i miscarried at 8 weeks and was offered a D&C; but declined.  I passed everything naturally.  They did an ultrasound afterwards to confirm that everything had passed.  If my body hadn't passed everything on it's own I would've had to get a D&C.;

First, it’s not always needed but everyone is different! My baby stoped growing at 6 weeks and since I have a history of abnormal bleeding we did a d&c; and I still hemorrhaged and if I had the pill I could have bleed out at home or on the way to the ER. So everyone is different.

I was 6-7 weeks. I didn’t want to wait for it to happen naturally as I was mentally distraught so I took Misoprostal to help speed it up. I only needed a DNC if I had retained tissue (didn’t pass it all)

I’ve heard that this early, it’s usually better to pass it on your own at home. But that’s just what I’ve heard. My mother said her d&c; was traumatic and would have preferred to have been at home. But this is just opinion! Different for everyone.
