HIV stressing?

So after having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for about a month I went and got tested for all STI’s and HIV. Everything came back negative but was it too early to screen for HIV? A false negative maybe? I haven’t had any symptoms of anything but it’s still in the back of my head. Do false negatives happen a lot?

I think you’re supposed to do it 6 months after being exposed to it, but I could be wrong.. I’d call and ask them

You wouldn't get a "false negative." If you did have it, it would just be doormat or symptomless for 6 months. You will need to recheck in 6 months for accurate results. But at this point in time, you're considered safe of HIV.

That’s definitely not too early. If it’s negative then it’s negative. I got tested yesterday as well.
