anyone else get staples?

With my first I had 18 staples. it was horrible  until they were taken out a week (or couple weeks cant remember) later.   having planned c-section July 13th... hoping I dont have that again.  This was the next day after my c-section.

yes I have had staples with 2 of my 4 csections, they suck, and the pulling sucks, and mine always ripped and that caused scabs and they scared both times, this pick is my 4th csection process with staples, they removed them at 2weeks, put tape, and then the tape had to fall off on it's own (of course I helped it, lol!) I'll be having #5 and I really wanna request anything but staples, I've had glue and the tape and it was amazing, and the dissolving stitches aren't too bad, but staples suck.

I had staples the first time also and with my second I requested stitches which she did. I was so much more comfortable!

I had glue used for mine with internal incisions. However I had them with my spine surgery twice. They didn’t bother me too much. Getting them removed feels like plucking hairs but most of them you cant even feel when they remove them.

I had 22 staples with my emergency c section and got them removed after a week. It felt like getting my eyebrows plucked on my the ones I could feel. I hope when my hubby and I are ready to have another that I don’t have to get staples again. My internal stitches hurt worse than the actual incision

Yup. I had cauterized incisions, staples, and they kept the pressure dressing on for 5 days (I was hospitalized for 7). I never did see the staples (still can’t bring myself to look at my incision) but they didn’t hurt when removed. My internal incision and stitches hurt for weeks, especially where the knot is.

I had staples both times and neither hurt. Sometimes it was uncomfortable getting up and down but that’s it. And Getting then out felt like plucking hairs.

Yes I had stables for a week. It was just kinda creepy. And getting them taken out hurt.

I had staples for length of hospital stay and then tape for when I went home.

No i’ve had the tapes with my other 2 and hopefully to get the same one with this one in October cuz they just dissolves.

I had stsples with mine, and my Ob's reasoning for it was that she prefered staples for emergency c sections, meaning had it been planned, I probably would have gotten something different. Either stitches or steri strips, I'm guessing? You could always ask your doctor what they do, and request something else instead!
