Weeks and Months???

I'm 22 weeks and 2 days...So technically I'm 6 months already?😱 I always thought 24 weeks was 6 months. every four weeks is a new month. I must be really freaking old.lol because all honestly i didn't know😂😂

I’m pretty sure the way it works is your in your 6th month of pregnancy but your 5 months pregnant... tbh it really confuses me but I’m pretty sure that’s how it’s done 😅

your in your 6th month yes. so your 5 months. even easier go by your lmp. i go up a month on the 27th of every month. its soooo much easier

Thank you so much ladies. i honestly got confused when I saw this on a mommies site on Facebook and got really confused. I had my first born at 16yrs old. and I have three more children and i don't remember none of this at all. I'm 27 years old now and pregnant with my last baby. so i feel like this is all new to me unless I'm just getting old/older.

These charts are horrible. For instance it shows that your 1 month in weeks 1-4. You know you're not 1 month pregnant the first day of your last period. You are in your first month but you have not completed 1 month. Think of it like this with your baby once it has been born (and this even goes against the 4 weeks is 1 month thing because that isn't true any month but February) are you going to tell people your baby is 6 months old at 22 or 24 weeks? No. Assume your baby is born January 1st. July 1st would be 6 months old. That is 1 day short of 26 weeks. It fluctuates because our months don't all have the exact same number of days. And I think that's why most people like counting 4 weeks as 1 month. We all know there isn't 13 months in 1 year. But it simplifys the weeks into months a whole lot better then these awful charts.

The average weeks in a month is 4.3. If you divide 22 weeks by 4.3 you’ll get 5.1 months. By using this math you will be 6 months at 26 weeks.
You have to use 4.3 to be accurate because if you just said 4 weeks in a month then at 36 weeks you’d be 9 months pregnant and you’re not.

The chart is a little confusing. I go by the weeks listed being what month of pregnancy you are currently but you aren’t considered being #of months until you are at the end of time listed. Like with age - first month of life is birth until 1 month mark but you wouldn’t say baby is 1 month old until he/she reaches the 1 month mark.
