Lip tie??

My son is 8 months old and I think he has a lip tie and his pediatrician never picked up on it. I have looked it up online and seen the symptoms and he had them all and so did I when I was breastfeeding!!! Idk what to do. This is probably why his weight is on the low side and why he chews on his bottles to finish them and hates soppy cups. Should I bring him to a pediatric dentist and get him evaluated and see if I should get it fixed?? My mom actually has a lip tie.
