Hello everyone

This is our second child, our first is a girls and because we both come from families where is mainly girl(he has 6 sisters and he is the only boy, I have 4 sisters) I was kind of expecting another girl. We were told and confirmed that we are having a boy. I always said that if I ever had a boy I would name him Mateo. I love all variations of the name. The only problem or some people seem to think is a problem is that Mateo is my last name.

I told my husband about the name and how strongly I felt about it and he gave me a “look”, that was the last time we had the baby name conversation. I’m willing to use it as a middle name. Is it wrong of me to try and name him that?
