I did, and I don’t regret it. I got pregnant after I was drugged at a party. I was 19, in my freshman year of college. I waited too long for an abortion, and ended up seeking out adoption. I picked the family, and they helped me out in every way. They were there when she was born, and I will never forget how happy they looked. This week I get to see her again, and its been 2 years.  It was very hard, but I did the right thing. I also have an open adoption, so I get to get updates.

I let my mom adopt my 5yr old. I had him when I was 16 and a junior in high school. I wasn’t ready to be a mom and she wanted another baby since she had to have a hysterectomy at 32 due to losing to much blood each month. He thinks I’m his sister and that’s okay. I had to keep him away from his abusive father and that was the only way since only I was on his birth certificate since his father was in jail in a different state when he was born.

I was adopted, but at 14 years old. I was placed in foster care right before I turned 9 because my alcoholic mother left my older sister and I with another homeless woman at a park that was staying at the same homeless shelter as us (but she took our 2 year old sister with her who 2 months later was found eating out of a dumpster and was placed with her dad). I think adoption is great, no matter what age! We had a temporary foster home, stayed at another for over a year (got placed somewhere else due to foster parents marital problems) and was adopted by our next foster family.
