massage while pregnant

hey ladies, so my husband birthday is coming up soon and i wanted to take him a couples massage i will 22 weeks then. is it safe for massages in pregnancy. the therpist said they do a soft massage while i lay on my sides. im still curious to weather it is safe or not.
