Hey all, I’m going in for an HSG tomorrow... had two back to back miscarriages one in December and this last one in April and I don’t have any children .. I just turned 39 and that’s why I’m doing all this testing with an RE. Nervous tho.. can anyone tell me what to expect??? Heard the dye is not too good ... they prescribed an antibiotic to take beforehand and also Advil as needed. They also did hormone testing on Monday and my estradiol was really high at 512 and my nurse told me it should be under 75... they want me to repeat those labs on my next cycle Bc they think there’s a chance it’s High Bc the hormones are not gone yet since it’s only been 8 weeks since my miscarriage/D&C.; My prolactin was 24.8 and normal is 25 and they also said they want me to repeat that on Monday... I heard prolactin is the breast milk hormone which makes me think it was a little high Bc of the hormones not leveling off yet from my miscarriage. Otherwise if it’s not I’m scared it can be a cyst or something. Does anyone who has had a miscarriage ever had hormone testing and found the labs to be abnormal shortly after and then repeated and everything was fine??This has been a very daunting process but I’m hoping we get some answers now and in the end I have my rainbow baby. Going for blood clotting disorder testing on Monday as well. Thanks and baby dust to all.
