The pill?

My mum said that in order to get the pill, I have to get a Pap smear. 
I am a virgin who hasn’t had any sexual activity at all, however I want to go on the pill for other reasons. 
Is it true you have to have a Pap smear in order to gain the pill?

I didn’t get one. I just got asked questions about my period and the reason for going on birth control. Then they just prescribed it to me.

I don’t recall getting a pap before I got on my birth control... but it was a long time ago now so I don’t remember specifically.
Even if you do need one it isn’t a big deal. It doesn’t take away your virginity if that’s what you’re worried about.

Im 15 and I live in Massachusetts, my doctor does not refer out to a gynecologist. I didn’t have to get any type of vaginal examination to get birth control, all I had to do was a urine sample for various tests.

I got put on birth control when I was 15, I had to have a pap to get put on it. I'm sure every state is probably a little different though.

I'm not sure how it works if every state, but when I got on the pill at 16, I had a pap done.
