How do you hold a baby?

So I never have been around kids much in my life, I feel like they get squirmy and upset when I hold them. I'm expecting my first baby and am afraid he won't like me holding him. anyone else felt this way? Any tips on the right way to hold them?

Hard to explain without demonstrating but my best advice is to youtube it. 
Ask a friend or someone who has a baby to show you. 
And look up for mom classes around where you live.

I haven’t had a baby yet (due October), but I did help raise my nephew when he was born and it just sort of happens. You won’t feel uncomfortable with your baby because they need you and you’ll just snap into it. 😉

It is totally normal to be nervous about all kinds of things as a first time mom. Babies look so fragile and they are, but not nearly as fragile as you think they are. As long as you support their head (until they can hold it up) and don't drop it you and baby will be fine. It's way different with your own baby. I remember my first (I'm pregnant with #3) and her being so small I was so scared but it came to me quickly. I'll attach a link that hopefully can help. Most hospitals have newborn safety classes, go to one of those and talk to the instructor.  They can teach you.

it'll come naturally when your baby first kids here really. but make sure you support their neck and head

It will be an instinct and will come when you hold your own baby for the very first time. Also babies want their mommy so that’s why they squirm and cry when you hold them, it’s perfectly normal. And your own baby will cry for you when someone else holds him as well! Nothing to worry about
