When to announce to family only

Hey guys I’m almost five weeks pregnant which I know is early. Here is our situation. After three years of trying for a second baby and after two rounds on fertility meds I’m pregnant! We have told my older child who turns 4 tomorrow. She had a right in my opinion to know since she has been just as antsy as us. Well this weekend is her birthday party with lots of family! I’m pretty sure at some point she will slip up (I don’t expect her to keep it a secret) and tell everyone there. Should I just come out and tell my family? Is it too early and should I just try and monitor what she says?

I’ve told already at 4 weeks. It is up to you if you feel comfortable telling but have to realise if it goes wrong (praying nothing does) you will have to deliver that news as well. 
I was willing to accept the risk as I would need the support network if the worst was to happen. Xx

I’ll have to tell them this week. I went through IVF, everyone is expecting an update on my side after this journey... I’ll share and I hope I’ll be alright with whatever the future may hold for me. After struggling with infertility, I feel stronger and hey, you should feel that way too: we can handle that! ;-)

I told everyone at 5 weeks 3 days. I’m 6 weeks 1 day today. The only person I have not told is my 9 year old son, for the simple fact that I wanted to wait until my first ultrasound appointment that way he can actually see and hear the baby’s heart beat. My first doctors appointment is today to determine and confirm if I am pregnant. I would say, whenever you feel you are ready. I just felt the need to share mine because I wanted to break those “wait until second trimester” boundaries. If something is destined to happen in your pregnancy rather good or bad, we are all at risk until baby is actually born (just my opinion) so rather you wait now or later is completely up to you ♥️♥️

I’ve told a few people And will tell s few more this weekend I’ll be 4w6d, it’s all up to you and how comfortable you are having people know even if something goes wrong.

I announced at my little boys 2nd birthday, i was 7+1 im now 8weeks today❤️ do it whenever you feel comfortable!❤️

agree with others, this is personal preference. there's no right or wrong. we told parents & siblings after my 6 week appointment. announced to everyone else once I made it to my 2nd trimester...doing the same with baby #2

It’s really just personal opinion! The first time I found out I was pregnant I told all my close family before I even had my first drs appointment. I ended up miscarrying, my second pregnancy we only told a small handful of people and that unfortunately ended as well. This time around we’ve only told 3 people, I’m not sure when we want to tell anyone else but I want to wait u til my husband and I are both comfortable doing so.
