How long would you wait for a man to be "ready" to have kids?

Assuming it's something you really want, how long would you wait for a man to feel ready to have children?

I would have this discussion with him early on. If you aren’t on the same page or can’t compromise, neither of you will be happy

That’s a conversation I like to have as soon as the relationship becomes “serious” 
With my husband we said we both want kids, we want to have our own home and stable jobs first, so I said alright let’s go get that. So we did. 
If he had been wishy washy about it and not willing to have that conversation I would not have married him. We would have dated until either he was ready to talk about it or I felt like my time was being wasted.

For me, I didn’t want to have kids after I turn 30. It was a no exceptions rule for me. If my husband had wanted to wait that long, we probably wouldn’t have gotten married. But this is something we discussed very early on and we were both on the same page that we wanted kids very young (I’m 25 years old and 35 weeks pregnant with our third and last baby) so that we would have lots of energy and when they are grown, we will still be very young. Hahaha. Our oldest is 6 1/2. And our middle is just shy of 5.

Until he is ready. There is no time period. If you want them sooner an he doesn’t well just either move on or wait till he is ready not pushed to have kids.

It just depends really. It would depend on what would make him ready. As in is it a house he wants or to finish his career or does he doubt that he really wants kids at all. I wouldn’t push either way I would just need a time frame to see if my time line can accommodate his..
