I’m having the same thoughts! I have an outfit like that but also another one with pants and long sleeves. It will be hot out but the car will have AC as will my house. I’m bringing a few options and will ask around 😂😂

Newborn’s can’t regulate their body temperature very well. So you might want blanket as well. I know it’s hard for me to imagine wanting a blanket in the middle of August, but especially in the AC it might be a little cold for her.

I’m having the same dilemma we live in FL and due mid August. It’s already 100+ degrees outside and it’s only June so it’s going to be dreadful in August so I bought pretty much zero long sleeve or pants outfits in NB and 0-3 size but some people are still telling me that babies are still cold even in this heat 🤷🏻‍♀️my husband’s cousin even bought us some hats to bring to the hospital to make sure he wears one when we leave but I had no clue all this was necessary in such high temperatures

Love the baby tank! And it will most likely be just fine! 
Just bring a sleeper with you just in case! You never know, and you’ll feel comfortable knowing you’re prepared no matter what. 😉

It looks similar to my going home outfit for my daughter. I will keep a blanket handy for in the car and the house.

The skirt might hunch up, especially in the at seat. Plus, if you have AC on in the car and at home, she’ll get cold. She’s used to your body temperature, which on average is 98F, so personally I’d do at least pants with a short sleeve onesie and also make sure you have a thin cotton long sleeve Incase her arms feel cold.
For my little guy, I have two outfits packed. A short sleeve onesie with matching pants and socks and a cotton sleep n play. What he wears home will depend on the weather. We have AC in the car but not at home.

There are lots of cute play suits about that I think are great for August newborns.
I bought the M&Co; 7 piece newborn set for my maternity bag.  I got one for my son and it had everything I needed.  I have bought a Ted Baker floral play suit that is really pretty (2nd hand off eBay - looks brand new).  
Also, I’ve been told in the UK they have to wear a hat before being allowed to leave hospital.  Everyone takes it off once their baby reaches the car as it is too hot but pack one just in case your hospital has this rule. X
I’m packing a Muslim swaddle as I think it will be cooler than a blanket.  
I can’t wait to meet her.  Time is going so slowly now lol x

Bring a blanket in case you want to cover up or warmth. But that outfit is plenty comfy. 
I know at my hospital the baby wears an anklet sensor until we pass thru security to get out of labor and delivery. Even if they don’t use the sensor, they will usually check your bracelet and baby’s on ankle before leaving. So you want to make sure that her ankle will be accessible and not under clothing or you will have to leave her leg out of it on the way out.
