Is an engagement coming?

My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly two and a half years. Admittedly we’re a little on the young side, (20 and 21) but we’re anticipating on purchasing a home within the next year. We’ve talked about getting engaged and eventually married for at least a year now.

Today while we were hanging out, he asked to see the promise ring he gave me two summers ago. He examined the ring for a while, and took out the business card we had from a day we tried on engagement rings to pass time a while back. Then he verified my ring size.

Sometimes he does stuff like this that makes me think we’re getting engaged soon, but other times I’m not so sure.
