What are you guys planning on doing for birth control

I want to have my kids pretty spaced out so i would like to wait about another 5 years before having another one . I used to be on birth control pills but they made me feel so depressed because of the hormones ( I’m literally the happiest person in the world even with pregnancy I’ve never felt anything like that before ). I’m REALLy scared that after i have her I’ll get pregnant right away . What are you guys going to use ? I’ve heard a lot of bad things about multiple birth control methods so idk what to do 😞

I’m probably in the minority here but I have never taken birth control and never will. I don’t like the idea of something foreign in my body and I also never respond to medication well so the pill isn’t something I love the idea of. I’m also allergic to most condoms. So me and my husband use the good old pull out method! Hahah it isn’t 100% but it has worked for us. We have 3 (almost) boys and for us whenever we decided we felt ready to have a kid again we just stopped pulling out and got pregnant that first month or second. I’m done having kids now and would love for him to get a vasectomy. BUT now he doesn’t have insurance anymore and I don’t see us paying out of pocket for it right now. So that will probably have to wait. I’m hoping the pill put method doesn’t fail me now! Hahah it hasn’t in the 9 years we’ve been married! But honestly I’m also very hippyish with my thoughts of if I get pregnant, I guess I was meant to. Just because I feel like 3 makes us complete doesn’t mean I’m right. I’m not willing to put myself through pain or change my personality with medication to guarantee not having kids anymore. But everyone has their own opinion on the subject and some people handle the pill no big deal. Also...I’ve had horror stories in my immediate family with the IUD so that is something I would never consider. So basically my “plan” is to continue pull out method when we need to and cross my fingers!!! Hahaha

I used to use nuvaring. I was very happy with it. I may just use fertility calendar app to avoid fertile days.  I enjoy being off birth control,  higher sex drive, better attitude

I’m in the same boat, though I want to wait until we have a stable place to live, whenever that is down the road. I’m terrified of going back on the pill there was a reason I got pregnant this time...

No birth control here either! But we want all our kids close in age so it doesn’t matter to us.... when we’re done having kids though I’ll track my ovulation closely and just won’t have sex at the most fertile days.

I had the Mirena between my last pregnancy (3yrs ago) and now. I really liked it and had minimal effects from it. I spotted for about a month after it was put in, but was able to lose weight just fine. It is different for everyone, but I like that it is low maintenance and we can start TTC as soon as it gets taken out.

I used to take the pill before, but I am not sure what I want to do afterwards. I have heard even the mini pill can affect your breastfeeding and my husband is not a super sexual person so it is not like we go crazy. I am thinking it might be better and cheaper to just go the condom route.
