Woke up during minor surgery..

Hi everyone, I’m not sure if I’m posting this in the right category or not I just really need to get this off my chest....I had the worst experience of my life today. I’m 21 years old and have an 8 month old daughter, I’ve had had the most painful happen to me today which really says something...coming from me, a woman who’s endured a natural childbirth to an almost 11 pd baby...

Anyways let’s get to the story. So I have had excruciating toothaches for the past few months and knew I needed to get a few extractions...saved up the money and finally got them taken care of today. After waiting around 5 months to get this done you could imagine I was more excited than nervous to get those things out! Tooth pain is the absolute worst in my opinion. So I had the option to use local or general anesthesia...I chose general. I have an incredibly low pain tolerance and felt safer overall being “put to sleep” during this procedure. So I got my IV and was about to drift off, and about 10 seconds in the dentist started working on me, nothing major but I became a bit intimidated by the fact that I was still awakeI eventually like 5 more seconds after Klonked out...now this process took about 10-15 minutes I was told, but during that time I woke up TWICE...each time for about 5-8 seconds and I vividly remember screaming and crying in pain as the dentist is yanking my teeth out and breaking them down. It was the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt and I’m just absolutely furious and mortified that this happened to me...I did a little research and apparently this only happens to every 1 in 20 thousand people or something along those lines....mind you I paid and extra 100$ to be put under this general anesthesia..I’m literally having flashbacks about this and am just so traumatized. I had the surgery done about 12 hours ago.

I would just like some insight on what to do about this, if I should take action...I honestly don’t even know. All I do know is it was the absolute worst experience of my entire 21 years of living.

Thanks in advance for taking time to read this and comment if you do!
