Still waiting with life lessons...
Had a “trial” induction on Thursday at (40 weeks 1 day) as I’m calling it, did what the doctors wanted me to do, due to baby size and “almost” low fluid. But, my cervix wasn’t ready yet...
Cervidil for 12 hours, then low dose Pitocin....had contractions 3-5mins apart, painful but tolerable for HOURS (only got to 50% effaced from 25%) as soon as pitocin was stopped contractions stopped. (No change in dilation still barely 2cm, I was so ready to embrace those contractions, pain and all...
SO...now we’re doing it my way dear doctors, I’m going home and waiting till I go into labor on my own...
Lesson here ladies? Make sure you find a doctors that actually listens to you, and WORKS WITH YOU to make the best decisions with YOU. It’s a bit of give and take, be willing to listen to their advice, but always stick to your guns, a be a bit stubborn 😜
