When is the ideal time start trying for Baby #2? My LO is 4.5 mo this now

This is my little guy at 4 months old couple weeks ago! My husband is already talking about Baby #2 but I feel like I need time to dedicate to my son first... thoughts?? Suggestions??? I’ll throw out my age as well I’ll be 30 this August and hubby will be 37 this August, we’ve been married for 7 years and 5 months. Yes we waited a pretty long time before trying because we just weren’t not mentally or physically ready.

there is no ideal time its whatever works best for you. i got pregnant when my lo was 9 months old. first trimester has definitely been a bear with a lo but im so happy to have babies close together

At least 18 months but before 3 years.... my personal opinion, but also it’s supposed to be way healthier for you and the baby to wait 18 months. Most doctors will tell you to wait 18 months.

I have a daughter who will be turning 2 1/2 in July and I am currently pregnant with her little brother. He will be born in October and they will be roughly 2yr 9months apart. I wanted to have time with my daughter before having another, but I didn't want them to be too far apart in age so we started TTC when she turned 2 and to our surprise became pregnant the first month 😂

I got pregnant when my son was 10 months. They’ll be 19 months apart & we love it! It all really comes down to what works for you & how close you want them to be! We wanted them close 😊

I conceived 6 months after my son was born I only wanted two babied and I wanted them to be close so I planned my pregnancy to happen at least 6 months after he was born.

My first turned 2 in March and our second was just born in May 1st and it's been working out good so far. My oldest does have her terrible two moments, but they don't last long and she generally has a natural helpful personality...she's been helping me with laundry since she was about 15 months, likes to throw things away for you, etc. She also slept through the night and self-soothed really early. When we realized she was like that, we went ahead and tried for #2. So, my advice would be to base it off of your son's personality, even if you have to wait a few more months to guage it because every toddler is different.

There's no "ideal" time but most doctors will tell you to wait at least a year before conceiving again. You need to give your body time to heal. Getting pregnant back to back can cause issues, such as increasing your chances of having a preemie. Just keep up on your doctor appointments and ask him/her when they believe would be a good time to try again.

I’m always the odd one out on these type of posts. My son is 5 months and I’m 11 weeks pregnant tomorrow 🤷🏼‍♀️ my doctor has no concern, isn’t worried and told me everything is healed inside by three months. He said ideally textbook wants you to wait 6 months but he said it didn’t matter. Matter of fact, he was more excited for me than I was. I cried and cried in the office while he was telling me how exciting it was, how close my children will be etc. Everyone keeps telling me it’s because he gets a paycheck from me having another baby but I know for a fact he has my best interest and health in mind.

It all depends on what you guys want.... I turn 30 this November and husband just turned 35. We’d like to be done having kids by the time he turns 40 and I 35. Depends on how many kids you want too you know? We want 4, and also don’t want them too far apart. We started trying for our second when she was 9 months and now they will be 18 months apart! Hoping for the same time interval for our next ones. I probably wouldn’t want them closer in age than 18 months though as I’d be so exhausted!
