Cartilage piercing possibly infected

So the day before my 17th birthday my mom finally gave into my begging and met me get my cartilage piercing its a small piercing nothing over the top (as you can see in this picture)

I got this piercing almost 3 weeks ago and for the first 4 days it hurt alot and was hard to sleep but then the pain went away and the redness fainted

Since a few days ago it has started to hurt alot more and it has gotten redder and i dont know if this is normal or if i have an infection!
