Vacation with 6 month old????

Question

Is it completely ridiculous to think I can possibly take my little one on a vacay this soon? I was thinking the first week in July we would go to the coast. Me, my husband, my 4 year old son, and my 6 month old daughter are all getting a little cabin crazy... okay mostly me.. but if I try to take the kids with us will I just be asking for trouble? Can I get personal experiences? Advice? I’m not sure.. I don’t want it to be TOO stressful, I know with kids there’s always gonna be some hassle but is she just too young? Pic for attention.. thanks ladies

We went to Maui for a week when baby was just turning 4 months and had the best time. Flight was good - he ate, slept and we had lots of diaper changes; we went on lots of walks and swims in the pool; would definitely recommend it!

We are pulling a travel trailer 12 hours to Colorado in a week with our 5 month old! I think it is doable with some patience.

I am planning to go to the florida keys in two weeks with my almost 6 months baby and what my friends recommend is to buy a stroller fan and a baby tent among other stuffs
The only thing I am kind of concerned is that my baby bed time is at 730 pm and he will only sleep on his packnplay, that means no late dinner for us. I think that I should take the baby monitor so at least we can enjoy a couple of drinks in the balcony

We plan on a coast trip at 8 months. We will drive and I plan on most diapers changes when we’re out and about needing to happen in the car because of lack of changing tables (Oregon coast).

My son is almost 5 months old and has been on two vacations, both airplane rides.  The first night is always rough trying to get your baby to sleep in a new place that isn’t their room but after that it gets easier! We will be taking another trip (5hr plane ride) in August as well.

do whatever you want! we had so much fun camping, it was great. Took a 14, 11,  5, 3 and 5 month old, slept in a tent, went fishing ... it was awesome!

I just got back from 2 weeks in Florida with my 6 month old and hated it. I wouldn’t ever take baby away again until she is a a few years old it was way too stressful. She hated it too, it was unfamiliar, too hot and there was just too much going on for her to just relax. The flights to and from were easy but the holiday was awful. I think it depends on your babys temperament also, if he/she is quite a chilled out baby then they may not be bothered by the change

I'm heading to the UK on July 18th. Baby will be 2 days shy if 6 months. I travelled my whole childhood starting when I was 4 months old, and my son will be the same. It's what happens when you have family all over the place lol.

We haven’t done any flights, but have taken out now 5 month old on 4 week-long vacations, some were via a 12 hr car ride. I say- go for it!!! We have a champion traveler now. Did the same with our now 7 year old and he is great on rod trips.

I’m following because I want to take our son for a vacation but hubby is against it he said it’s too much trouble I personally don’t think it will be we did do a mini vaca that was fine but he is concerned about sand and sun and a plane... people do it all the time tho
