Nephrostomy tube at 24 weeks 3 days

Have any of you ladies out there had to have a nephrostomy tube for any part of your pregnancy? I was admitted to the hospital Friday night for severe back pain that had been coming on & off since Memorial Day weekend. They finally did an ultrasound of my kidneys and found a fairly good size stone (1.9 cm). The urologist worked with my OB team and it was decided the best plan of action was to place a nephrostomy tube and to keep it until I deliver and can have surgery until they can do surgery to take care of the stone. It was the worst, most painful physical experience I’ve ever been through (& two of my three childbirths so far have been unmedicated)! They placed the tube Saturday night only using lidocaine. They had to go in three times to get it placed correctly and I felt EVERYTHING!). I was discharged last evening and am happy to be resting at home. But I am still so super sore. I have a few questions: a) how long did your pain last after the procedure? b) what kind of clothes do you wear to hide the bag) & c) will I ever get used to this? I am off work this week but going back next week & worries about learning to function with the tube/bag 😔 I’m just feeling really alone and frustrated right now so any stories, advice or encouragement are welcomed!
