My so, and I are expecting our second daughter in October. and are currently trying to move out of our expensive apartment in a manufactered home, but I'm having issues with my family being overbearing. It all started with me wanting to get a better car, and asking for help looking for one. then recently they shot me down on that idea, and directed me towards buying a manufactered home. I have seen at least 5 in the past few days all being 3b/2b for 50,000 or more, with park rent being $395 and only covering W/S. I have gone off my own, and found another manufactered home that's only 2b/1 single wide, park rent covers W/S/T for $280 a month. and the mobile home is only $17,500. but after showing people theyve commented that it's not in a safe place blah blah, but I could pay it off by January 2019(within 6 months) but the other ones it would take me 2+ years to pay. at this point would you listen to other people? or do what's financially better for your own family?
