Diaper brands/suggestions? HELP

My 13 weeker is 15 lbs and in size 2 diapers. We're using Huggins Snug & Dry right now, I loved them until like 2 weeks ago. Since then it seems like EVERY time he poops I'm dealing with a blow out and throwing away an outfit (side note: I gotta get in on the mom secret for poop stains, someone fill a sister in). 
I know babies are messy and blow outs happen but this seems excessive. Is the size wrong? Am I putting the diapers on wrong? (Rhetorical, I know how to put on a diaper lol) Why is this happening?!. I'm tired of not only changing baby but changing myself multiple times a day. According to the lbs on the package these should fit him until he's 18 lbs, and he was 15 just a week or so ago at his last appt. he surely hasn't gained 3 lbs in that short amount of time. 
Sometimes there's a mess out the sides of the diaper, sometimes up the back, even once up the front 🤦🏻‍♀️ it doesn't seem like he's pooping more or anything and it's not like he's sitting in a poopy diaper for hours or through multiple bowel movements. 
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it the brand of diapers/size of diapers? Just a reality of my new mom life I have to deal with?

You need to go up a size. Try switching brands I like the Costco diapers(affordable) or pampers

Try different brands. Different brands suit different babies. It’s a shape thing. You’ll eventually hit on a brand that suits your baby

size up. i like the seventh generation brand, the back is elasticized so it really sits right up against them. also for poop stains i use dreft spray it’s in a pick bottle it works on any stains ! yes

try going up a size for a day. my son who is 5.5 months just started having this and i went to a size 3 and it all stopped and was contained until last week when he decided to grow and go into size 4s lol

Some diapers are good for tall skinny and others for short chunkie.  You just need to try brands to see.  We use huggies little snuggles.  They are the only ones that I have found that have that band across the inside back that stops the up the back blow outs.  
Also, poop stains for us.. if you rinse them as soon as they happen, we use Spray n Wash Max.. and a fingernail brush.  Scrub till it lightens and then wash.   We have also let it sit a day or two till we had a load and it still came out if we treated right away.  That’s with breast milk poop, formula poop, and solids poop.

We use buggies little snugglers. They seem softer than everything else and they can hold a lot. When we had the same problem with my son, we just sized up and it stopped happening.

I feel like when my daughter was younger she had a blow out everyday. It didn’t matter how tight the diaper was some of the poop just escaped! I think because the poop wasn’t solid yet had something to do with it too. My advice would be to make sure the diaper is wrapped tight (but not like too tight) around the waist and is snug on the legs. If you know your baby has pooped, try not to squish the diaper as much as possible while moving to a changing table. And if you can just wash the outfit with warm water (if it’s not terribly blown out). Good luck! It’ll get better!

No advice on the blowout but I use original dawn dish soap for poop stains! I immediately rinse the garment, then directly run the dawn onto by hand, we touch poop all day anyways. But it has been super effective for us!

I personally like pampers swaddles better than Huggins and think babe stays drier. They seem to fit her better as well.
