What is this???

I’ve been having pain on my left side for almost a week now. It feels sharp sometimes, and at other times it feels dull like the burning feeling when you stretch your skin lol. It comes and goes. I think it’s an ovarian cyst but I want opinions. I have irregular periods (and im on birth control) and when I cough its excruciating. Any ideas? i posted a picture of me pointing to where the pain is. Is it something I should go to the doctor for or just wait it out?
