Gofundme for a Psychiatric Service Dog 🐕❤️🐾

I’m not looking for donations but I’m looking for support and encouragement as I embark on my journey to get a PSD. I’m a 22 year old college student studying to be a biologist who has a big heart, a desire to help others,and change the world. I have so much passion and ambition but there is just one thing holding me back, my anxiety/depression and OCD. For those who aren’t aware a PSD is trained to do the following task:

• Recognize signs of a panic attack

• Preform DPT

• Help us calm down when we are agitated

• Help us cope with being in crowds

• Grounding us and helping us get back to the here and now when we are overcome with fear

• Create a safe place for us

• help us with emotional overloads

I’m opening up to you ladies here as I say I have been imprisoned by my anxiety and fears preventing me from functioning in normal everyday activities. About a week ago I made the most selfish and stupid decision I could have ever made and that was attempting to take my own life. I have recently contacted Wilderwood service dogs in my area to make sure that I meet the necessary qualifications for a PSD. I have sent them a couple of dates after filling out a short forum online to set up for a phone interview. If all goes as plan I will be on my first steps to getting my PSD or as I say my superdog. I will continue to update everyone on my journey and when I get the ok to do so I will continue on with a gofundme to help raise the necessary funds needed for my dog.
